Personal awareness refers to your ability to know yourself as a tennis player and as a person. You can develop your strong points even further. Developing a sound and thorough personal awareness will help you identify your strong points, limitations and areas for improvement.
Be honest with yourself. You will be a better planner if you have a vision. Challenge yourself to be a better player. Focus on what is important and what you need to work on. You can obtain information about yourself by asking focused questions. I ask my students to do this with themselves and their tennis game.
The majority of all people in the world actually think they are far different from who they are. Look into a mirror and say, "I am this kind of person" and if adjustments have to be made then do it! You can fool a lot of people, but you cannot fool yourself. It takes a little bit of character and honesty to accept the true facts.
