Communication is paramount in the recruiting process. We hear all the time that college coaches want to get to know you. What that means is that each interaction is in essence an interview.
Looking up a college coach’s bio on the school’s athletic website and reading materials about the program and its history can give you an idea about the goals and culture of the program. Asking good questions in text messages, in person and during phone calls is your best chance to learn more about the school and provide information about yourself. Keeping notes on your phone or computer can help you as you go through the process, and allow you to remember your impression of the conversations or meetings. Here are some questions to keep in mind:
