The falling dominoes of college scholarship offers don’t always produce a perfect outcome for recruits, but for blue chip Kailey Evans, the result was a commitment to Texas Tech she never thought she’d make.

The high school junior began taking her visits last September, with trips to Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.
“I wasn't really looking to commit this early,” the 17-year-old Texan said. “I just set up a few visits in the fall. Tech actually wasn't one of them, but the weekend I was supposed to visit South Carolina, they had already filled their [2021] spots, so I just decided to take a visit to Tech that weekend instead. And I just loved it.”
