Vaughan Claims Double Gold at Boys 14 Clay Courts

Mason Vaughan captured his first-ever gold balls by winning the singles and doubles titles at the USTA Boys 14s Clay Court Championships in Dothan, Alabama.

The third-seeded Vaughan (Austin) won a hard-fought 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 battle over No. 13 Sebastian Godoy (Houston) in an all-Texas singles final at Westgate Tennis Center.

Vaughan earlier teamed with Dylan Meineke (Frisco, Texas) in doubles as the third seeds defeated the No. 1 duo of Akshay Mirmira (Bethesda, Maryland) and Gadin Arun (Paradise Valley, Arizona) 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
