Having just finished her 8 a.m. singles match at a tournament, Tattini was planning to rest before returning to the court later in the afternoon.

Her doubles partner approached and asked, “Are there two raccoons sleeping on the dashboard of your car?”
On the way to the tournament, Tattini and her mother saw a truck hit a mama raccoon and two of her babies. They pulled over and grabbed the remaining two babies and put them in the car.
“I had to go play the match, so they were just sleeping in there while I played,” Tattini said. “We took them to the hotel after and gave them a bath and drove them home and raised them.”
