Adam Duan has never attended a college tennis match or watched one on television. He’s only caught a few highlights, and heard about them from others.

Duan will get his full immersion once he joins a prestigious ACC program. The five-star senior from Davie, Florida has committed to Wake Forest
"I am super excited about the team environment. I feel like in tennis it can be a little bit lonely at times playing tournaments by yourself,” Duan said. “Going to college and having a team around me is going to feel great. I can't wait to have teammates cheering for me and getting to cheer for them."
Duan began corresponding with Wake Forest in June by sending an email to head coach Tony Bresky. They eventually began corresponding by phone, but Duan hasn’t been able to take an official visit because of the coronavirus pandemic. The NCAA recruiting dead period in Division I has been extended through the end of the year.
"It was definitely difficult because I wanted to visit a lot of schools really badly just to see what it is like and feel the atmosphere and see students,” he said. “It would be great to meet the players and talk to the coaches in person. But it's just not possible with everything with Covid going on."
