Ruth Hill met Andrew Cohn during a college exposure camp in California. Cohn was the head coach at Haverford College at the time, and gave Hill some great advice. They kept in touch once they parted ways.

During her recruiting process, Hill started taking an interest in Trinity (Texas). The three-star senior from Abilene, Texas made a visit to campus and enjoyed getting to know head coach Gretchen Rush and the players.
Rush announced her resignation last May. Her replacement? Cohn.
"It was perfect," said Hill, who has committed to Trinity. "I already knew him and we were exchanging emails, so it really worked out in that regard. It was perfect timing."
Along with Trinity, Hill was considering other Division III schools like Case Western Reserve in Cleveland and Sewanee in Tennessee.
"I always felt D3 was the best choice for me because I feel like it would be the best balance of academics, tennis and then social life,” Hill said. “I really wanted to have a place where I could be a part of everything."
