Brayden Michna was going to celebrate signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday by going out to dinner with family and friends to “talk about the good old days when I was still a junior tennis player.”
But the blue chip senior from Taylor, Texas encountered an unexpected opponent. He came down with the flu. Instead of being around others, he marked the special occasion by making himself some ramen at home.

Michna completed a lifelong ambition by signing with Texas A&M. Having grown up about an hour outside of College Station, Michna participated in tennis camps and attended many matches on campus throughout his childhood.
“I have been an Aggie almost as long as I can remember. Being able to go to my dream school has always been really big for me,” he said. “It’s definitely been something I have worked for my whole life.”
