Recently won the 2007 (men's) Country Club of Fairfax Championship tournament, beating the #1 seed in straight sets. (Michael was seeded #3)
HIGH SCHOOL
Played #1 position as a freshman for Varsity high school team. Went undefeated at 14 and 0 for Liberty District regular season. Selected #1 player for First Team Singles Players for Liberty District Honors List. Qualified for NOVA Regionals tournament, singles. Finished season with 17 and 2 record.
Was awarded MVP for his Varstity Tennis Team at Woodson High's spring sports awards ceremony. Also received Scholar Athlete Award for maintaining 3.5 or higher GPA in his freshman year.
Played #1 position as a sophomore for Varsity high school team. Selected First Team Singles for Liberty District Honors List. Was awarded MVP title again for his high school team.
Shortly after the season ended in May, suffered a torn ligament while performing drills in preparation for a tournament match the following day. Did not play tournaments until ankle completely healed. Tournament play resumed October 2008.
Played #1 position as a junior on high school Varsity team. Was awarded MVP again. Made All-District singles. Finished 3rd in District on doubles team.

Is a member of the 4 Star Tennis Academy Supernationals tennis group.
