TOURNAMENTS
In October 2010, George was accepted into the qualifying draw for the ITF Futures event in Mansfield, TX; he won a round and lost to Nick Chappell (# 7 on the tennisrecruiting.net list of graduating seniors) in the second round. http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2010/382/qs.pdf
In the July 2010 ITA Summer Circuit tournament played in College Station, TX, George reached the round of 32 in both singles and doubles. In the second round of singles, he defeated the #9 seed (a player for an NCAA Div I team ranked in the top 10 in the year end ITA team rankings).
George has won over ten USTA-sanctioned singles tournaments and five doubles titles over the past two years.
In the recent 2010 Texas Summer Grand Slam tournament, George won four rounds in singles with three of the wins coming over players ranked in the top fifty in Texas.
George is currently ranked in the top thirty in the Texas Super Championship 18 singles division.
HIGH SCHOOL
George currently plays in the line 1 singles position for Tomball High School (Texas UIL 5A) and has lettered each year.
George qualified for the Texas UIL 5A State Championships in the Spring 2010 season. He won the District 135A tournament and reached the finals of the Region II tournament to qualify for the state championships.
He also won two additional high school singles tournaments in 2010.
George started the 2011 spring season in January by winning the A singles draw at the Cy-Fair High School Invitational (UIL 5A).
TENNIS CAMPS
George has attended the University of Texas Longhorn Tennis Camp for the past four years. He won the Gatorade Will To Win Award for best effort and attitude in 2002, 2004 and 2006. In 2004 he also won the RTP Award for best efforts in his level group.
ACADEMY
George attends the Giammalva Elite Tennis Academy in Houston, TX. He is coached by Sammy Giammalva, Jr. a former world top-25 player.
