Plays in Class 2A - the highest level of tennis in Minnesota
Played for Moorhead High in 2010 as a junior and was a team captain. Was the #1 singles player all year and compiled a 15-2 record. He made the Minnesota Class 2A State Tournament in singles for the 4th straight year. He lost in the first round to Eric Zishka in a tight 3 set match. He then won his next two consolation matches, to reach the consolation finals. There he fell in 3 sets to Michael Tebon of Minnetoka.
Played for Moorhead High in 2009 as a 10th grader and was a team captain. Was the #1 singles player all year and compiled a 23-4 record. He made the Minnesota Class 2A State Tournament in singles as a 10th grader. He lost in the first round to the state runner-up Justin Haag in a 3 set match. He then won his next two consolation matches, each in 3 sets, to reach the consolation finals. There he fell in 3 sets to Elk River senior Brendan O'Connell.
Played for Moorhead High School in 2008 as a 9th grader. Was the #1 singles player all year and compiled a 23-2 season record. He made the Minnesota Class 2A State Tournament in singles as an 9th grader. His 2 losses were to Michael Sicora, the state champion, and Paul Swanson the state runner-up. He lost to Paul Swanson, a senior from Blaine, in the state quarterfinals.
Played for Moorhead High School in 2007 as an 8th grader. Was the #1 singles player all year and compiled a 23-5 season record. He made the Minnesota Class 2A State Tournament in singles as an 8th grader, a rare accomplishment in the state. His 5 losses all came to players who qualified for the state Class 2A or Class 1A tournaments. His Moorhead team lost in the section finals to Elk River with a chance to go to the state tournament as a team. The Moorhead team compiled a 13-3 record.
Played for Moorhead High School in 2006 as a 7th grader. Played #1 or #2 singles. Compiled a 17-6 record and helped Moorhead to a 10-6 team record, their first winning record in many years.
