Tyler Young

Tyler is headed to Florida State Final Championships after clinching the District Championship in Central Florida.

In 2008, Tyler was ranked #1 in the New Jersey Boy's 16's Division and has received an award for outstanding player of the year from the USTA at a banquet in May 2009. Tyler has since relocated to Florida and has been on a rigerous training schedule every day.

Although Tyler does not have blue chips or stars along side his name, is no indication of the outstanding player Tyler is. Unfortunately, Tyler's family is financially challengned and has been unable to travel around the globe to national tournaments that this website bases their rankings on. Below are some of Tyler's achievements and it would be a shame for his college ambitions and the hard work and endurance Tyler has sustained for many years to be hindered because this site only records statistics from tournaments they have chosen. Below are some of Tyler's achievements over the past few years.

Tyler is currently the 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 American Tennis League Challenge Series Winner. In addition, Tyler earned three first place trophies and one second place trophy from the American Tennis League for his outstanding Spring tennis season. Tyler's dedication and hard work paid off when he took First Place for the overall high scoring player in Level I.

He was also an integral part of leading his ATL team (the Bandits) to clinch First Place in the American Tennis League. The Spring season of the American Tennis League that Tyler competed in, is comprised of many USTA ranked tennis players who take their tennis game seriously.

HIGH SCHOOL
As Tyler's Varsity High School Season comes to a close. He is undefeated in his Central Florida Conference at his 1st Single position. He also clinched the 1st Doubles District Championship with his partner and they are headed to State Final Championships in Florida.

It is obvious that according to tennisrecuiting.net stars and chips mean nothing. Tyler has proven to be an outstanding player who is undefeated in Central Florida's Orange Belt Conference. At the 1st singles position and Captain his team, Tyler will be Player of the Year in Central Florida. Last year he was nominated to the Orange Belt Conference All Team and the 1st OBC team.

In addition to playing 1st singles, Tyler also played the 1st doubles position and clinched the District Championship. He is currently headed to State Finals.

Tyler relocated to Florida prior to his Junior year of high school. He had achieved the prestigious honor of being ranked the #1 player in his age division in New Jersey.

As part of the Air Force JROTC, Tyler is an exceptional student, athlete and cadet. He is in the top 5 percent of his 170 cadet corp., has an overall 3.5 GPA and a 4.0 in AFJROTC. He is a natural leader and is dedicted, respectful and responsible.

As a high school Junior, he was undefeated while playing the #2 position. Tyler will play the #1 position on the team in 2010. He will also be the Captain of his team.

During Tyler's sophmore year, he completed all challenge matches and only dropped one set, which earned him the 1st singles spot on the team for the 2009 season.

Tyler had an outstanding year as a Freshman Varsity player. Not only was he the only Freshman to make the team, but he captured the third singles spot away from seasoned juniors and seniors.

His overall record as a freshmen was 16-3
