I made the decision to not play the final season of high school tennis. I have built a solid network of NCAA bound male players for hitting partners. It's a much more valuable asset to have in preparation for the collegiate level. I will always miss the friendships made playing at the high school level. I feel it isn't worth dedicating preparation time playing on a team where nobody can even rally with me. I also feel the regular season schedule was very weak in offering higher level competition. The closest the schedule comes to anything close is towards the later half of the season. Where a couple area players, one of which has a puny two-handed forehand and the other who only feels chopping at the ball for every stroke is the model of good tennis.
