Meredith finished her USTA season with a strong preformance at the Schroeder Summer Bash 7-8 July 2018, finishing second in 16U singles.

Meredith also teamed with a member of her high school team to play doubles in the Frydell Jr. Open 14-15 July, capturing the 18U championship.

Meredith's USTA experience has really just begun, but she's learned a lot about the game and herself in the last year. She set a goal to reach the OV District Championships last summer and succeeded. We've included results from two other events here that didn't qualify for the recruiting site, but were great experience none the less.

Coaches--Meredith did not play HS tennis this year, opting for private lessons, doubles with adult women and clinics for herself, as well as helping run junior events and clinics at our club. She turned 18 this weekend and has been recruited to the ladies GMVTA 4.5/5.0 at Schroeder as well. As COVID hopefully recedes she'll play more tournament tennis and get ready for college as well.

Meredith completed her junior year at 13-4 (First Singles), winning the Southwest Buckeye Division First Singles crown and qualifying for Districts as the second seed out of Sectionals by defeating the #1 seed in the seeding round. She led her team to the SWBL Buckeye Division championship and was named, was First Team All League, and Third Team All Area.

Meredith's teammates voted her MVP of the Milton-Union Girls Team at their end of season banquet on Monday, officially ending her sophomore HS tennis campaign.

Meredith was named DII First Team All Area by the Miami Valley Tennis Coaches Association on Wednesday evening, one of only six girls so honored.

Meredith and her partner won the Troy section as the doubles #1 seed. At Districts they defeated a Wyoming team in their first match, but fell to Indian Hills in their second. Great experience capping off a strong sophomore year for Meredith.

Meredith led the Bulldogs to a 6-0 SWBL record this year, going 14-3 overall and 6-0 in league play at 1st Singles as a sophomore. Her performance and leadership were recognized by the coaches with First Team All Conference honors yesterday at the League Tournament. She lost a tough three set match in the SWBL finals, displaying the grit, determination and sportsmanship that are her hallmarks as she concluded the league season. She'll be playing doubles at Sectionals next week and we'll report back on those results.

Meredith worked hard this summer and earned the First Singles spot for the Milton-Union Bulldogs. Through their first four matches, she is 4-0, helping lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-1 start.

Meredith first picked up a racquet three years ago and she's fallen in love with the game. Her first year of High School team tennis was a great experience. She played third singles for the majority of the season, amassing a 15-2 singles record overall. Her two losses were at Second Singles to girls who advanced to Districts at years end. Meredith won the Third Singles title at the SWBL tournament, helping her team win their League. Meredith then teamed with Milton-Union's Second Singles player for doubles at Sectionals and Districts. They finished second at Sectionals and had a great experience at Districts.

Meredith attended the Wilson Collegiate Camp at Northwestern University 16-20 July 2018.
