Coaching Achievements
Before arriving as the new Head Men's Coach at the University of Southern Mississippi, Ki Kroll lead the Vassar College Men's Tennis Team to their first ever Liberty League Championship in 2007, then another in 2010, both firsts for the program. He was named the Liberty League "Coach of the Year" for 07, 09 & 10, coached four players to All-American, 3 consecutive team NCAA team appearances, and a team high national ranking of 22, all first ever for the college.
Known for all his work with highly ranked juniors, he is certified both as a USPTA Pro 1 and USTA High Performance. Coach Kroll is most noted for developing the Andre Agassi Boy's & Girl's Club inner city tennis program in Las Vegas, Nevada into one of the most successful programs of its type in the United States. Additionally, Kroll has represented Agassi in several public relations and media events that included HBO, Sports Illustrated, the USTA and ESPN.
As the Director of Tennis at the Andre Agassi Boy's and Girl's Club, Kroll received two top awards; the October, 2001 "Citizen of the Month" for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada presented by Mayor Oscar Goodman, and also the 2001 "Employee of the Year" for the Boy's & Girl's Club.
Many of Kroll's former students were ranked in the top 50 nationally, a few ranked in the top five, and represented the US in international play. Several have gone on to compete professionally, with one playing for Stanford University, winning the 2002 NCAA Doubles Championship and helping lead the Cardinals to an NCAA Team Championship in 2001 & 2002.
Kroll played his collegiate tennis at Penn State and also competed professionally on the European Circuit.
