Tournament Highlights
Ashley Penshorn was the 2022 ITA South Central Regional singles championship as well as the doubles champion with Kyndall Quiroz.
Teammates Bailey Godwin won the Regional B singles championship and Elena Muñoz and Elisa Rodriguez claimed the B doubles title.
Individual Achievements
Senior Ashley Penshorn (Montgomery, Texas) is ranked 12th nationally, while she and partner Kyndall Quiroz (San Antonio) sit in seventh in doubles for Fall 2022.
Penshorn also sits as the top-ranked player in the South Central region, while fellow senior Angela Vargas (Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico) ranks seventh. Freshman Stela Sifuentes (Eagle Pass, Texas) ranks 13th and junior Gabi Ioannou (Melbourne, Australia) is right behind her in 14th and Quiroz holds down 18th.
In doubles, Penshorn and Quiroz are locked into the top spot after their stellar fall campaign, while Vargas and sophomore Bailey Godwin (San Antonio) sit in sixth in the 10-team rankings.
