Conference Highlights
In our last season as a member of the NECC, the Regis women's team repeated for the 5th consecutive year as NECC Conference Champions. Our Lady Pride completed the fall season with a 10-1 record and look to maintain that success into the spring season.
INFO ON REGIS COLLEGE WOMENS TENNIS PROGRAM
Regis College was founded in 1927 as a liberal arts and science college for women and became co-ed in 2007. Regis is an NCAA, Division III School and a member of the New England Collegiate Conference, a New England based group of 10 colleges.
The womens tennis program includes a full-year schedule with practices beginning in the fall one week prior to classes followed by conference and non-conference matches and hopefully ends each year with the Conference Championships. During the pre-season week our players are allowed early move-in to their dorms, meals are provided, and each day incorporates practices, match play, mental training and team building activities.
Our spring season starts in early February with indoor practices several days a week. We then go on a spring break trip down south to play 3 to 5 matches. When we return practices run Monday through Friday through the month of April and we play 5 to 6 head to head matches against competitive New England colleges such as Smith College, Salve Regina University St. Anselm's College and Clark University.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
In my approach to coaching college tennis the emphasis is on TEAM. I expect all the players to support each other and to work towards improving all of their teammates skills and match play. I want players who are committed to reaching the top of their ability and I will help them to get there in every way that I can. I also demand the highest level of sportsmanship. Lastly, while an important goal is to develop a winning team, an equally important objective is to have fun and enjoy the camaraderie and life-long friendships that playing on a college team can offer!

Coaching Achievements
Andy White was named the head men's and women's tennis coach in 2018 following the retirement of John Ciarleglio.
White, originally from Bozeman, Montana, spent his last two years as the assistant coach for the Pride. He helped guide the men’s program to a combined 31-11 record over two seasons, while the women were a combined 27-7. Both programs won New England Collegiate Conference championships during the 2016-17 academic year in White’s first season as a full-time assistant coach. The past season, White helped guide the men’s team to the championship match of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The 2014 Regis graduate served as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's tennis team in 2014.
White was a four-year member of the Regis men’s tennis program from 2010-2014. He was twice named to the First Team All-NECC in singles, as well as to the NECC All-Tournament Team in doubles. He finished his career ranked in the program’s top 10 in career doubles (45) and singles (34) wins.
Prior to his time as the Pride’s graduate assistant, White was a volunteer assistant coach at Regis during the 2014-2015 season. He was also a facilities assistant at Montana State University, and has been a tennis instructor at Wayland’s Longfellow Health Club and Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Montana.
