Post Season Highlights
In Coach Justin's 1st year (2017-2018 season) as head coach of the RPI Women's Tennis Team, he lead the team to their first conference championship birth in 8 years. With a nationally ranked 2018 recruiting class coming to RPI this fall, Coach Justin will look to lead the fighting engineers back to the postseason and build upon his first-year success.

-Andrea Valencia UTR increase from 5.4 to 6.7.
-Tess Lubin UTR increase from 5.2 to 6.2.
-Nisha Rajamohan UTR increase from 4.3 to 5.3.
-RPI Women's Tennis 2018 Recruiting Class ranks 19th nationally among division 3 women's tennis - highlighted by three star recruits Sanjana Surapeneni (UTR 7.9), Sofia Khudyakov (UTR 8.03); two star recruits Brenda Peng (7.4 UTR), Junjya Lyu (UTR 7.10); and one star recruits Elly Klages (UTR 5.03) & Jolee Mccluskey (UTR 5.65).
Individual Achievements
RPI Women's Tennis focuses on the academic and athletic development of the tennis players choosing to attend RPI.

In the classroom, Coach Justin uses his past experience as an Academic Advisor for student athletes to teach freshman players how to succeed in college. Through monthly meetings focusing on the academic semester and course-work, the RPI Women's Tennis Team earned a first year cumulative GPA of 3.77.

On the tennis court - Coach Justin has been developing high performance female tennis players since ending his collegiate tennis career in 2009. Placing an emphasis on teaching proper technique and advanced strategy - RPI women's tennis saw 3 players earn a FULL 1.0 INCREASE in their UTR during Coach Justin's first year as head coach. Teaching an aggressive playing style thats fun and proven to help tennis players win matches, there's no doubt Coach Justin can help players transition and succeed into college level tennis.
Coaching Achievements
Head Coach Justin Roe, a native of upstate New York, comes to RPI with an outstanding track record of developing and preparing tennis players for success on the collegiate level. Coach Justin played his college tennis at Keuka College - leaving the program as the All Time Wins Leader and breaking records for most doubles wins in one season / most singles wins in one season.

Before accepting the head coaching position at RPI - Coach Justin coached women's tennis at division one Seattle University. While at SU, he helped develop numerous two/three star recruits to a 9+ UTR while also leading his players to some of the best upsets in the Seattle U Tennis program history.

With wins over Stanford, Cal, and numerous blue chip prospects; Coach Justin believe that the fun and aggressive style of tennis he teaches allows players to stop over-thinking, while training players to react and hit the right ball at the right time. Coach Justin's masters degree in educational psychology allows him to prepare his tennis players both athletically and mentally.

Coach Justin came to RPI with the goal of bringing National Championships to Troy, NY. If you are a tennis player that wants to play tennis at a high level, while attending a college that will prepare you to graduate with a high paying job awaiting you upon graduation - RPI is a tremendous fit.
