Men finish 2ND in SAA for second consecutive Year. Stormy Petrels ranked #14 in Atlantic South Region by ITA and NCAA.We have been ranked 6 of the past 8 years. We defeated 5 regionally ranked teams, lost to 3 teams in top 10 nationally finishing 13-10.

Men finish 2nd in SAA regular season; 3rd in tourney; Seeded #2 defeat #7 Berry 9-0; lose an absolute thrilling heartbreaker to #3 Rhodes 5-4; 3rd set-7-6 (5) tiebreaker in final match! Re-group, take out Centre for 3rd in tourney -- highest finish since 1991 when we went d3! Finish 19-5; ranked #14 Atlantic South; 5th ranking in 7 years -- starting to get there!

Petrels Ranked #12 NCAA Atlantic South!!

March 2013
Just finished a 6-0 Spring break trip beating Grinnell (#13 Central) and Univ of the Ozarks (#17 West). We are 11-3, losses to #1 Emory, #20 W&L; and 5-4 to Christopher Newport (#10 Atlantic South) We have a good win over Mississippi College (#13 Atlantic South) as we head into key conference play.

May 2012
Young team starting 3 Freshmen and 3 Sophomores went 10-13, finished 7th in SCAC. Defeated #10 Hendrix 7-2, lost to #2 Rhodes 7-2. Lost 5/6 playoff to Colorado College 5-4; defeated Millsaps 5-4 for 7th. We are excited about new conference; The SAA starting next year.

Men finish with best record in "modern" era with a 17-5 mark!! Finish 5-0 in conference reguar season.

Ranked #7 Atlantic South Region NCAA D3 !!

Enter SCAC Conference Tourney as #4 seed. Defeat Sewanee 8-1 in 4/5 match; lose to #1 Trinity and finish 4th for second consecutive year. Mann goes 16-3 at #1, Biffle 17-2 at #2, Motz 16-4 at #4, and Bailey 17-3 at #5. Doubles much improved. Highlight was 6-3 win over #6 Atlantic South region W&L.
Loses to nationally ranked #2 Emory, #11 Trinity and #26 Rhodes, with loses to regional ranked (Central) WI-Whitewater and Grinnell. Defeat W & L, Sewanee 2x's, BSC and Mississippi College.

CJ Antonio & Kirk Zhao each won main draw matches, losing to solid Emory players. Hunter Bivins, Cedric Andre, Josh Rosenberg all make quartes of "B" Draw in rain shortened tourney. Freshman Matt Jones had good win v Rhodes. Doubles teams won matches in rain shortened event... We looked pretty solid!

Coach Peter Howell was inducted into GA Tennis Hall of Fame in 2010. Coach Howell was MVP and Captain of his Vanderbilt Team in 1969-70. He is a positive coach and offers shortcuts to playing better faster! He has over 40 years of tennis teaching/coaching experience, having worked with over 10 former All-Americans during his career. As a player, he was ranked #5 nationally by the USTA for 6 years, and has been selected GA. Pro of the Year four times, and Sr. Player of the Year twice. He was also inducted into the GA. Professional Tennis Hall of Fame and the USPTA-Southern Division Hall of Fame
He is looking for players that are academically smart, have good upside tennis potential and a great attitude who want a chance to play college tennis.
